VNG2184
Gene VNG2184 in replicon chromosome
TfbA coordinates the expression of over 10% of genes in the Halobacterium NRC-1 genome together with TbpD, consistent with the role of these two transcription factors in gene regulation. Some of the regulated genes code for heat shock proteins and their deletion leads to a temperature sensitive phenotype. See Coker and DasSarma BMC Genetics 2007 Sep 24;8:61.
